For many community focused sites or sites that have complicated feature and structural needs we deploy a variety of Open Source systems to address those needs. The functionality, speed of deployment, and cost of these systems offers many advantages over building your own. Currently our favorite projects include Drupal, OSCommerce, OpenX.
We have deployed a number of different e-commerce systems and have done a
large amount of work on customizing
OSCommerce in particular. We have also have worked on many other platforms
such as Miva, Zen-Cart, X-Cart.
Asia Consultant eCoaching Support System - This is a training support system that provides multiple online classes for multiple companies consisting of time or event triggered tasks. Each task can consist of multiple question types, video uploads, document uploads and downloads. The tasks can be set to be event or time based and email functionality is fully integrated to provide notifications. The system has very complicated permissions settings for Students, Managers, Coaches, HR and Admin users as well as reporting on student's progress. Please contact us for a demo.
I developed the custom user-friendly CMS system that is running around 80 webeddy.com websites. That system features content management, contact management, photo galleries, business directories, FAQ, slideshows etc. We are currently in the process of re-vamping that system and building a new system based upon PHP/Mysql/AJAX technologies. The new system is the back end for the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce website.
We were asked by Naturals of Ashland to integrate data exchange between their accounting system, MIVA shopping cart, and Email Service Provider. We deployed a SOAP based system to hourly update their ESP database with subscriber data derived from their on-line shopping cart.
For Burgess Computers, we developed a system to control the display of a 500,000 product CNET/Channel Online database. The system daily updated their database using a Java application and the CMS system to control the website product display, and comparison shopping engine feed was programmed using .NET.
NWMLS Property Search - For webeddy.com, I developed a property search system that uses the NWMLS database. The system has been deployed on over 50 websites. You can see it on the Realty Executives Sno-King website.
